Aunt Cathy sent us our favorite book to read. It is called "Let's Go, Giants." I am telling you that we have read this non-stop before his nap and bedtime for almost a month. He is obsessed. Here is his take on the book. It is too cute so turn up the volume so you can what he has to say! Thanks Aunt Cathy!

My friend Paul turned me on to this website where you can upload your own picture and make your own motivational poster. Of course, I just had fun with it. Poor Nicholas.
For those of you who want to try it, here is the website:

The Guy On the Left
Can you tell Matt is the guy on the top left? This is the basketball team from ISC Portsmouth. They competed in the 30th annual Martin Luther King, Jr Basketball Tournament for the Coast Guard. Instead of sitting behind his desk last week saving the world, Matt was playing basketball as the starting forward against Coast Guard's finest. The life of a Comptroller is tough, isn't it?

The Year of the Jerseys
I said there was no better feeling than beating Dallas in a playoff game, but I gotta say, there is nothing like knowing we are going to the Superbowl in two weeks. Happy 30th birthday to me!
My sister bought us a special set of jerseys for my birthday last year. The numbers equal my dad's birthday, one of the biggest Giants fans there could ever be. He has been gone 10 years this year, so Annie wanted to mark it with a special gift. These jerseys were it for us. I have not washed it once this year. Here are the Maresca girls sporting them.
To my family far away in NJ-- this is when I miss you most!! Enjoy the win! We love you!!
Gotta love being the underdogs! GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Beautiful Morning
Aaah, there is nothing like waking up the morning after the Giants beat Dallas in a playoff game. I can't believe they never met before in the playoffs; it feels like the hatred runs so deep.
Maybe we shouldn't spend so much time in Cabo San Lucas should we Tony? Maybe TO should shut his mouth?
Nicholas did a great job cheering. I am so proud of him and my Giants. Lambeau Field here we come!
Some stats for you on the game (and for all you Eli-doubters, read on!):
* The Giants won their ninth consecutive road game (seven regular season, two postseason). They are the first team in NFL history to win nine consecutive road games in a single season. In addition, the Giants have set a franchise record for overall consecutive road victories.
* The Giants are the first team to defeat the NFC’s No. 1 seed in the divisional round since the current postseason format (six teams from each conference) was adopted in 1990.
* The Giants had no turnovers for the second week in a row. They have won their last 10 games in which they did not turn over the ball. The last time they did not have a turnover and lost was Dec. 5, 2005 at Washington.
* Manning completed 12 of 18 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns to Toomer. Manning’s rating of 132.4 was the highest of his 61-game career (47 regular season, four postseason).

Friends Welcome Always
Our very good friends, Michelle and Brendan Hilleary, came to visit us last week. We finally got to hold their little baby Seamus. He is adorable. As you can see, the big boys had their fun boxing each other on the Wii too. Thanks for visiting us guys! We love you!

An Almost Genius
Nicholas was snacking on some letter cookies the other day and I went upstairs to get the laundry in the dryer. When I came downstairs, this is what was on his placemat. Einstein's theory E=mc2 is widely known, but it looks like my Nick almost has it figured out at the ripe age of 2 1/2. The M in the middle is formed using a number 3 but Nicholas turned it sideways to get an M. Maybe next week he will add the C? I'll let you know if he does :)
Oh, and sorry Bucs fans. I know how hard it is to have the football season end today. It has been 7 years for me and my Giants. But I plead with you, if you have an ounce of disgust somewhere in your heart for the Cowboys, cheer for my boys in blue next week. And oh, yes, the Seahawks won too. So it has been a great weekend here at the Fine Household. Check back soon for some more pics.

Wild Card Weekend
At least the Seahawks and Giants don't play against each other just yet. Right now, our house is filled with hope. Enjoy the football. To all my Tampa Bay friends- Good luck, but Jeff Garcia has haunted me for years. I can only hope that Michael Strahan and Osi Umenyiora finally put him out of his misery.
