Nick Screams for Ice Cream

Nicholas made ice cream with Mommy last week. It was so yummy. He picked "Cookies and Cream," and I am pretty sure he enjoyed crushing the Oreos with a meat mallet as his favorite part!

Mommy is letting me bang with a hammer? Wow!

Pouring it in the mixer.

Watching it get thicker!

We went to our 37 week appt. today.

We had an ultrasound- baby is approx. 7 lbs. 9 ozs. and is in the 90th percentile, measuring at 38 weeks. I thought that meant we could get this done sooner than later, but no, the induction is tentatively scheduled for 8/21. Two more weeks. Ugh! I am half delirious from not sleeping no matter what I do (I just cannot drift off, and when I finally do, I have to pee!!) I know everyone goes through this at the end, and I just keep telling myself to get through it. So, unless Baby Fine decides to do this on his own, August 21st should be his birthday...

We are really enjoying spending this time with Nicholas before our whole life changes- a baby for all of us and preschool for Nicholas. It is kind of sad to say goodbye to it being the three of us, but I know once we have this baby, we won't remember what it was like when it was "just the three of us." So we better savor these last days, shouldn't we??

On a side note, is this mess with Brett Favre not just so pathetic? I respected the man as one of the best quarterbacks of our time, and now I am just disgusted looking at him. The Jets must be thrilled but I wouldn't start jumping up and down yet kids.

Ok, enough of that. Will keep you updated! Love you all!

A Rock Star

Nicholas got his haircut yesterday. He is my little rock star, and he definitely looks like he is 3 going on 13. He looks great with it all cleaned up.

After I posted on Sunday, I started feeling weird and the baby completely dropped. I had some yucky pre-labor symptoms Sunday night and went to hospital for check. I am dilated and effaced, but that can mean the baby can come any day or in 3 weeks. I see my dr. tomorrow, and I am anxious to see if there has been any more change. Needless to say, I don't feel good at all since Sunday!! Say some prayers!

Love you all!

Pizza Night

These pictures were taken a week ago while our computer was broken, but I thought they were too cute not to post. We love to make pizza. It is a family affair. Mommy makes the sauce and the crust, Daddy and Nick do the toppings. Such fun.

As for the other little guy, he is baking right along in my belly. We have officially hit 36 weeks, which means he is now officially baking longer than Nicholas did! We did it-- we made it to 36 weeks! And he is showing no signs of coming early. So, luckily, I get to bake him in this heat for maybe 4 more weeks!! Keep us in your prayers! We might just reveal the name this week if Daddy would make up his mind! Love you all!

Camp Parade

We are back. We got a new computer this weekend and I finally have gotten the chance to post! Nicholas was enrolled in a summer camp for the last two weeks. It was three days a week. It was his first time away from Mommy for more than an hour at a time (at church class). So, it was an adjustment for both of us but one that was definitely necessary since the baby will be here right when he starts preschool (mind you, that will only be two mornings a week!). Here are some pictures from the last day and their parade. His buddy Cole was in his camp too so they must have had a good time!

I need a little help from my friends.

Ok, the teacher too!

Cole and Nick post parade. Look at those grins!

Happy to be going home, it was way too hot out!

On the down low...

Well, you must think we are ignoring you, but we are not. Our computer is dead. No access to pictures and video until we decide to buy a new one... which will be very soon, I assure you.

Until then, there is no baby yet-- just an almost 9-month (remember, pregnancy really lasts 10 months!) pregnant mommy of a very stubborn 3-year old, who has given up naps and has become quite testy and independent in the dead heat of summer in sweltering Virginia. Wouldn't you know it? Thank God for Daddy, he is our stronghold. Hope you all are well. We love you!

33 weeks!

Here I am, 33 weeks and 7 more to go. Matt got us a babysitter for Saturday night, and we had a great dinner out just the two of us. It was nice to get dressed up and be out of shorts and a t-shirt! Thanks honey for making time for the two of us! I love you!

Our Fish

Daddy has been taking Nick to the pool most afternoons to give Mommy a much needed break (an afternoon nap is not always the norm anymore!). Mommy tagged along on Wednesday so that we could finally get some pictures and video of our fish! He loves the water (but what kid doesn't??) We also have a cool sprinkler for our backyard when we don't feel like going down to the pool... he is a cute kid, isn't he?

I got a great shot, didn't I??

Ready to jump.
