March 2, 2009

It finally snowed in Hampton Roads. It is about time. We have waited and waited and it finally came this morning. We started the day with hot chocolate and then we went outside to play. Nate's first time in the snow was under five minutes, but he looked so darn cute sitting outside on the table in it! Nate is always laughing at his brother. Nicholas was caught over and over again eating the snow (thank goodness it was clean).

Finally, today is Dr. Seuss's 105th birthday. The teacher in me needed to celebrate this with Nicholas... so we read "The Cat in the Hat," "Hop on Pop," "Mr. Brown Can Moo Can You?" and "Ten Apples Up on Top." We visited seussville.com and played lots of games and did lots of fun worksheets. And finally, for dinner, we had "Green Eggs and Ham." Nicholas loves the rhymes and stories that Dr. Seuss wrote. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR. SEUSS!
