Mickey's Halloween Night
We are very proud of our Mickey- he kept his ears on all night (As you can imagine, they were quite bothersome for a two year old!!) However, it only took about three houses for Nicholas to understand that, with the ring of a doorbell and the simple three words "trick or treat", a nice neighbor would drop a handful of candy in his basket. All of the neighbors were with us for pictures and Nicholas loved seeing his friends all dressed up in costumes. As for now, Nicholas has had a ton of candy and will hopefully sleep tonight! Happy Halloween everyone!

Pumpkin Patch
Nicholas visited the pumpkin patch yesterday-- it rained all last week and was too hot before that, so we were late getting there. He had a ball looking around for the perfect pumpkin! He was hysterical= Everytime we asked him if the pumpkin he was holding was the right one, he would say, "No. Not this one. Not ready yet." He would move on to the next pumpkin and say the same thing. Being two years old means a lot of decisions! Enjoy the pictures and hope you are enjoying the fall weather!
Cookie Making and Pumpkin Carving
These next few posts aren't going to be in order-- this month has been quite busy for us that I can't keep up!! As I type, Matt and Nicholas are watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown." This is Matt's favorite, and he has waited to watch this classic with his buddy, Nicholas. Nicholas and I baked some Halloween cookies this afternoon, and Matt and Nicholas carved the pumpkin tonight. Enjoy the pictures and especially the video!

Suffolk Peanut Festival
In case you didn't know, Suffolk is home to Planters peanuts. So every year, Suffolk hosts their annual Peanut Festival. We are proud to say we have attended every year. It is home to a demolition derby, petting farm, vendors, and good old fashioned fair food and rides. Nicholas could not wait for this year's event-- he knew there would be mums and pumpkins, and truly, that is all it takes to make him happy. However, he did get to see a fire engine and sit in a tractor so it was much more exciting than he thought. He also loved the petting farm and was determined to wake this poor bunny rabbit up from his slumber.
Last year, I bought him a shirt at Gymboree especially for this event and he received lots of compliments. It says "My other car is a tractor..." He fit right in with everyone else at the Suffolk Peanut Festival! Enjoy the pictures!
Our Comedian...
Nicholas got the coolest toy piano with a microphone from one of our neighbors. He loves it. Here is our first video entitled "Nicholas the Comedian." Although he sings just a little for you, he is really doing some major vocal exploration on the word "hello" with a lot of laughing and giggling. This is Nicholas at his best. Enjoy!

Giant Win!
Here is Nicholas decked out in his Giants shirt that I wore when I was about 4 or 5 years old (notice it already fits him pretty well!). He is wearing it with a grin because we won today against the Jets... so a big shout out to Uncle Pauly and Uncle Jay Aleksak who placed bets with Mommy AND LOST!
Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday football games!
Love you guys!

Some Nice Weather...
This weekend was absolutely beautiful here in Virginia-- mid 70's and sunny. We deserved it-- our A/C gave out and we suffered through two miserable hot days to get to it! Nicholas and Daddy checked the fluids in the new van, and then we headed up to Bluebird Gap Farm for the morning... it is a city park that is a farm, playground, and picnic site all in one. All of the animals are picture-farm perfect-- horses, pigs, cows, ducks, donkeys, etc! Nicholas loves it. Here are some great snapshots.
We did get to visit with the wonderful Cueto family in Williamsburg Saturday afternoon, but I am a terrible mother and didn't get any pictures... we will be with them for Thanksgiving, so we will get some then! Nicholas loved hanging out and playing with them!
Love and miss all of you very much!
