Happy 6th Anniversary

Yesterday marked our 6th anniversary. I fondly remembered back to our 1st anniversary when Matt surprised me and took us to the North Shore of Kauai for a night at nice resort-- Hanalei Bay in the background, beautiful waterfalls, oh sweet Kauai.

Life has changed quite a bit. After a morning of coaching and cheering Nick's soccer team, we headed to the zoo with our friends to enjoy the nice weather. Nicholas had a ball with his buddy Cole while Nate slept on Mommy in the Baby Bjorn. We managed to take a nice family picture-- thanks Ty and Julie!

Although we aren't in Kauai anymore, life has gotten sweeter and more beautiful than I could ever imagine. We have two beautiful boys who make us live like kids again. No waterfall or rainbow or Hawaiian flower can be better than this. So Happy Anniversary Mommy and Daddy!

On a side note, today is the Giants and Seahawks matchup. We didn't talk smack, we didn't cheer loud. The Seahawks are badly hurt and the Giants are reigning champs. So sorry Daddy. Here is a picture of my boys. Aren't they so very sweet?

Nick still loves Nate. They are so adorable together! We love all of you very much!

October

Happy October. The fall weather has hit us here in Virginia. Thank goodness!

Nate is smiling up a storm. He is six weeks today and I have never seen a baby so little giggling so much.

By the way, Nate is almost outgrowing his 3 month clothes. Looks like he is taking after his daddy too!

On Saturday, Nick and Nate went to our friend Jackson's first birthday party. It was a football theme so we of course dressed the part... Here are the boys. Nate's outfit is a touch big on him, but it is too cute-- Thanks Aunt Cathy!!

Giants vs. Seahawks happens every year and this year, it happens Sunday, one day after our 6th anniversary. Say a prayer for us! It isn't going to be easy in our house, no less on our anniversary weekend!

Finally, our good friend, Fr. Cuddy, visited us tonight. I had to go up to Nick's school, but Fr. Cuddy stayed and helped Matt out with bedtime. What a good sport! We are so lucky to have him in our lives!

Hope to see you all soon- until then, enjoy the fall weather!

Nate's First Smiles

Nate has already started smiling. It is so hard to capture it on camera but I tried. He was a month old Sunday and he is a happy happy baby. We are still not sleeping much, but man, the smiles make it all worth it.

As Nate's big brother, he is doing really well in school. The funniest thing he has said this week was to his Gaga. She took him to the library and he didn't want to go in to storytime because "Mommy reads better than them." However, he told me later that night when I was reading to him that "My teacher closes books better than you Mommy." He showed me how she "bams" the book shut. So, to make a long story short, I read better than the librarian but don't end the books as good as his teacher! It is hysterical!!

First Soccer Game

After practice Thursday, Team Arsenal had their first game on Saturday morning. Unfortunately, the kids lost. Our kids were too nice-- they knew how to kick the ball but didn't quite understand that they could also steal the ball from someone else! It was so hot on Saturday, and at some point, someone was crying. But they all had fun! Make sure you watch the video... it is too cute! (Thanks Julie for the awesome pics again!)

Nate slept the whole game!

Soccer Practice

Well, first came practice Thursday night. Daddy is coaching Nick's team, and Nick's good buddy Cole is on his team too. Thanks to Julie for all these pictures as Mommy was home watching and feeding Baby Nate! Mommy is very proud of Daddy and how well he is teaching (and having patience with) his little three year olds! I have a feeling this will be our life for the next 18 years!! Go Arsenal!

Off we go Mommy!

Cole and Nick playing.

Stop! Go!

"Geez, coach, I don't know about going that way!"-- Cole

Aren't we supposed to keep our hands off the ball??

"Do you think my Daddy knows what he's doing Cole?"

Go Arsenal!

Request for Pictures

You can all thank my blog editor and wonderful friend Chris for this post. He reminded me that it has been a week since pictures were posted :) It has been very busy around here but we are doing just "fine." Will post pictures of Nicholas's first soccer game/practice later on (Daddy is his coach and the pictures say it all!) Love you guys!
