Almost Nine Months and Four Years

My dear sweet Natey boy is almost 9 months old. Here he is in his new PJ's from Aunt Annie, Miss Baseball herself.


My dear sweet Nick is going to be 4. He is going to be in the local paper on Friday for his birthday, thanks to Mommy! This is the chosen picture that shows just how old he looks. Where does the time go?

Mother's Day on the Beach

Mother's Day was a busy day here! Matt again made me breakfast in bed with all the fixings-- even a mimosa this year! I got to read the papers without Nicholas trying to help me "cut the coupons" or "find a really good deal." However, I was downstairs within an hour to hang out with my boys.

We went to mass and then headed to the beach. It was Nate's first trip. He was so funny. He slept for the first half and played in the sand after. We finished the day at our friends' house for an Ecuadorian feast. Yummy. It was a great Mother's Day.

Thank God Mommy forgot this hat at home!

Mother's Day Brunch

Today was a special Mother's Day Brunch at preschool. As a teacher, I have always seen this happen and couldn't wait for the day to have my own little boy or girl to share it with. It was very sweet, and I had a great time with Nick.

The Search Is Over...

Nick is obsessed with riding his bike lately. This is when I see how much he has grown.
Only 19 more days until he is 4!!

Say a prayer for us- we think we found the perfect house and are waiting to hear back from the owners on if we can be their renters.... WHY WOULD THEY NOT WANT US????

Natey "The Cheeks" Fine

So, my friend Trish dropped off a hat for Nate the other day. He looks like one of those kids from the 1950's that had a nickname and played stickball. We called him Natey "The Cheeks" Fine all day long. It was so damn cute!

Nick: I really liked the birthday cake today Mommy. It was so good.
Mommy: Good Nick. I am glad you thought it was yummy. We will order your birthday cake cause Mommy just doesn't make good birthday cakes like Miss Sara does.
Nick: But Mommy, you do other things good. Like making cupcakes. I love everything you do Mommy.

End of scene: Mommy crying. Nick hugging Mommy telling her it is ok. Matt comes running from Nate's room to assist.
