Bubbly- Colbie Caillat

Here is the song I was talking about kids... I am sure you all know it and I am the last to hear it... enjoy!

New Song...

Not too much to post today, but I thought I would let you in on something I found.

I don't get to listen to the radio much now (we are usually listening to the Wiggles or Mickey Mouse) so I hadn't heard this new song yet. It is called Bubbly by Colbie Caillat. It is adorable and fun to listen to. Check out the video on my page. Although I know it was written for lovers, the words make me think of Nick and I--

I've been awake for a while now
you've got me feelin like a child now
cause every time i see your bubbly face
i get the tinglies in a silly place

It starts in my toes
makes me crinkle my nose
where ever it goes i always know
that you make me smile
please stay for a while now
just take your time
where ever you go

Mommies, check the song out on YouTube. It makes Nick and I dance and smile at each other-- http://youtube.com/watch?v=2PWfB4lurT4

Hope you guys have a good weekend. Here is an oldie but goodie picture of Nicholas...

Florida Trip

We went to visit GaGa Maresca and Aunt Annie this past week. While we were there, we drove down to Key West for a mini vacation. Yes, Nicholas has been to Las Vegas and Key West and he is not even two and a half yet! While we were there, we visited our old favorite bar, Fat Tuesdays. My how different that goes with a 2 year old, but we still managed to have a drink and toast to our younger years :) We also took Nicholas to the Key West Aquarium where he got up close and personal with an iguana named Roscoe. We also got to see a lot of our godson, Christopher Michael, and celebrate his 4-year birthday with him. He is such a lovable kid-- he kisses and hugs the best you could imagine! Nicholas had a great time visiting his GaGa and Aunt Annie. GaGa has a great condo-- it overlooks a lake with a bridge that we walk across to go to the pool.

We hope everyone has enjoyed their summer and are ready for Fall! We love you all very much!

Who Nick Really Looks Like...

As you can see, I was finally given some credit, although not by much! Nicholas must be a perfect blend! Will post more soon-- lots of pictures from Florida for you to see!

Love you all!

Nick's Haircut

For those of you who don't know, Nicholas's hair didn't need its first cut until he was about a year old. Since then, we have only gone three times, this being his fourth. He does very well-- I take him to my hairdresser, Amanda. He sits on my lap facing me and puts coins in his piggybank while she "snips" (we don't use the terrifying word "cut") his hair. He gets very excited because he knows he gets a lollipop when he is all done. This time, she cut his hair so we can sweep it to the side (like we have been) or keep it straight. I am not sure which I like best :) Either way, he is the cutest kid around.

He has been doing great in his big boy bed. He doesn't want to get out of it in the morning and runs up the stairs for naps. It is awesome!!

We leave for Grandma Maresca and Aunt Annie in Ft. Launderdale on Tuesday, September 11th. I have never flown on 9/11 but plan to pray for a long time while we are flying for all the people we lost that day. We will never forget. Love to you all!

A Big Boy Bed!

Well, there are three big changes we need to face this year-- potty training, getting rid of the pacifier (and hey, he only has it when he sleeps, so don't give me a hard time about this one!), and moving from his crib into a bed... we accomplished the transition to a bed this weekend! Nicholas loves it and he certainly needs it considering he is the size of some four-year olds. The bed has been a hand-me-down stored in the garage for the past year-- it is a toddler fire engine bed. We took him to Toys R Us to pick out a bedding set, and of course, he picked Disney's Cars. It matches the red fire engine nicely. He has stayed in the bed and hasn't fooled around too much yet, although I am sure we are in for it! Enjoy the pictures. Remember, he is still in his nursery so the walls don't quite match :) Love you all!

WOW! (World of Wonder)

We spent our Saturday of Labor Day weekend at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens in the "World of Wonder" section for kids. Nicholas had a blast playing in their flowers and water sprinklers. For those of you with kids, we must take you when you come and visit-- it is an awesome place for kids to be hands on with flowers, plants, and water. This morning, we went to mass-- Notice Nicholas is a mini version of Matt (except for his eyes, those are mine!) Hope you are having a great Labor Day weekend!
